13. The Two's Photography Project

I needed an idea for an auction piece for each two year old in our program and wanted something more than just masterful scribble scrabble inside a mat. I decided to give each of them my camera and give a new meaning to "point and shoot"! The parents loved the result.

The Two's Photography Project

For older students, have them take a photo with your digital camera (make sure to number them and keep track of which photo belongs to which student). Print the photos on photo paper or card stock. Have the students tape the photo onto a white sheet of paper. Instruct them to draw the rest of the scene in pencil. Ex: If there is a picture of a house, have them draw the surroundings around the house - the trees, a swing set, cars etc. They can use their imagination to tell a story with the photograph at the center - or wherever they place it! 😁
